Reflection: I think Thoreau made a good statement because our elders can give us good advice from what they experienced growing up, but just because they give us advice that doesn't always mean it's the right thing to do. We as people have the choice to make our own decisions, weather it's right or wrong, we have the power to be who we want to be.
Cisco, I would have to agree with you about this quote. I say this because not very many young people understand that the advice from our elders is where its at, even though we may be in a new age. Yet, they have been there and done that plenty of times, more than we have which basically goes to show that they're only watching out for us even if we think they may be trying to ruin our fun. We teenagers just need to open our eyes and understand our situations from more than one way because there is always a way out in the end.
